How Does the Procedure Work?

Before the procedure, patients will undergo a consultation to discuss their concerns, goals, and candidacy. The process of nano fat grafting cab be performed under local anesthesia. Fatty tissues are harvested from donor sites such as the abdomen or thighs using minimally invasive liposuction techniques. Once fat is harvested, it goes through a processing stage where it is emulsified and filtered so that just the nano-sized fat particles are obtained. The processed fat is then injected or micro-needled back into facial skin.

What Is the Difference Between Nano-Fat and Micro-Fat Grafting?

As we age, we lose our own natural fatty compartments in the different areas of the face resulting in hollowness. The micro fat transfer is typically injected in deep tissue planes. Nano-fat is actually the same micro-fat harvested that is further processed by filtration and emulsification steps, breaking up the fat cells and releasing their regenerative molecules such as varies growth factors and stem cells. Nano-fat is injected into the superficial layer of skin. Nano fat transfer can be combined with CO2 laser skin resurfacing or RF micro-needling which enhances the rejuvenating powers of those treatments and significantly helps with healing and recovery. Nano fat injection is often combined with micro fat transfer for optimal volume restoration and skin rejuvenation.
