What is Profound RF Microneedling?
Profound RF is the first FDA-cleared radiofrequency microneedling device, and we rely on its proven safety and effectiveness record for incredible rejuvenation. Microneedling is also known as collagen induction therapy because it uses dozens of tiny needles to trigger the body’s natural healing process resulting in the production of new collagen. Collagen is a protein in the skin that is largely responsible for its youthful appearance. Collagen fibers give the skin elasticity, a smooth texture, and volume. Microneedling is a great way to replenish lost collagen and turn back the clock on skin aging.

The Profound RF Microneedling Procedure
Profound RF treatment starts by cleansing and numbing your skin with a topical numbing cream. Once you are prepared, the microneedling device will be passed over the skin, and microchannels or tiny wounds will be made on the skin’s surface. Patients might feel a tingling sensation and increased heat in the treatment area, but this should not be painful. The procedure takes about an hour or more, depending on the size of the treatment area and the conditions being treated.
Profound RF Microneedling Recovery
There is only a short recovery period after Profound RF microneedling. Swelling may be mild to severe for 3 to 5 days. Skin can be red and have a rough texture for a few days following treatment. Strenuous activity and sun exposure should be avoided to minimize swelling and prevent hyperpigmentation. Eating healthy foods and drinking plenty of water can also help speed up your recovery.
It’s important to remember that collagen regeneration takes time, so results will develop gradually. Most patients will see some improvements within 2-3 months, but the results can continue to develop for an additional 3-6 months. Increased collagen production will improve the health and appearance of your skin for many years to come!
