What is ResurFX?
ResurFX is a non-ablative fractional laser equipped with state-of-the-art technology for safe and effective skin rejuvenation. This non-ablative laser heats the skin without ablating (removing) the surface layers of the skin. This means less recovery and a more comfortable treatment. The innovative CoolScan technology is designed to improve patient comfort and protect the skin from overheating. The ResurFX laser comes with a variety of handpieces in different sizes and patterns for customized treatments that target different areas at specific depths in the skin. As the laser handpiece is passed
over the skin, it generates heat to stimulate deep collagen regeneration and tighten existing fibrolast and elastin fibers. These are natural proteins that act as the scaffolding for a healthy skin. The natural aging process gradually slows the production of collagen, thus collagen fibers break down, leading to signs of aging like wrinkling and skin laxity. ResurFX laser rejuvenation addresses these conditions in the deep layers of the skin while treating superficial skin imperfections as well.
Would You Benefit from ResurFX?
ResurFX treatment can be customized for a variety of skin concerns, but there are a few precautions to keep in mind. Patients with a history of irregular scarring or inflammatory skin conditions may not be candidates for this treatment. At your consultation, our providers will ask about your medical history to make sure this treatment is safe for you.
Suitable candidates can improve the following concerns with the ResurFX laser treatment:

The ResurFX Procedure
ResurFX treatment is performed in our beautiful and spacious Scottsdale office. The patented, CoolScan technology, ensures patients will experience little to no discomfort during the treatment.
After your skin is cleansed and prepared, the technician gently glides the laser over the desired treatment area. You will feel mild heat with a snapping sensation as the laser heats your skin.
ResurFX Recovery
After a ResurFX treatment, your skin will be slightly red and have a sunburned feeling for a few days. It is important to protect your healing skin with broad-spectrum sunscreen to prevent further sun damage and hyperpigmentation. Mild swelling may also be present in the first 72 hours following treatment. Your skilled provider will recommend post-care products to aid in the recovery process.
For optimal results, we often recommend a series of 3-5 treatments scheduled a few weeks apart. After each procedure, you will see gradual results as new collagen develops and healthy skin cells are reviled.
