Pt2 Revisional Eyelid Surgery
Procedure Details:
This patient was suffering from bilateral lower eyelid retraction. Unfortunately, she was not able to close her eyes all the way resulting in dryness, redness, pain and irritation. She had undergone lower eyelid blepharoplasty at another institution where too much skin was removed. Surgical correction necessitated the use of skin grafts to the lower eyelids. She had a successful outcome and now she is able to close her eyes and her symptoms of dryness and irritation have completely resolved.

This patient had aggressive upper and lower eyelid blepharoplasty at another clinic where too much fat was removed. She was not happy with the surgical outcome because her eyes appeared to be hallowed and “ bulging out “. She also had functional problems related to the lower eyelid retraction ( dry eyes, irritation, redness). Repair of lower eyelid retraction with fat injection was performed. The natural appearance of her eyes was restored and her symptoms of dryness and irritation were resolved.
