What Are Lip Fillers?

If you’ve always desired fuller lips, fillers are a great option for non-surgical lip augmentation! We offer several lip filler options at our office, including Revanesse Versa, Juvéderm Volbella XC, and Restylane Kysse. Each of these hyaluronic acid lip fillers can add volume to the lips and hydrate the skin for a soft, supple texture.

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in the body, and it gives the skin moisture and volume by drawing water molecules to the skin’s surface. With a soft, flexible formula made from hyaluronic acid, lip fillers offer natural-looking results tailored to your unique aesthetic goals.

We also offer a wide range of other hyaluronic acid dermal fillers and neuromodulators that can be paired with lip fillers. A customized treatment plan can be designed with a combination of these products for an overall more youthful appearance. The Lip Filler Procedure

Lip injections are quick and minimally painful. A fine needle will be used to inject the product into various points on the upper and lower lips to evenly plump the skin. Other than a slight prick from the needle, patients do not find this treatment to be painful. However, a topical numbing cream can be applied to maximize your comfort.

Lip Filler Recovery

There is minimal downtime and recovery after lip filler injections. Mild swelling and bruising are common but will only last a few days. To minimize swelling and discomfort, we recommend applying cold compresses for 15 minutes at a time and taking anti-inflammatory or pain medications like Advil and Tylenol as needed. Results will develop in about one week and last an average of 6-12 months, depending on the filler used during your procedure.
